Obituary of Margaret Marie Kampa

Marge was born February 25, 1933, in Saint Paul, MN. Exceptional in math, she graduated with honors from Murray High School in the Class of 1950. She married Donald Kampa on May 25, 1953, and they went on to raise their four children in the exotic cities of Saginaw, Maplewood, Chicago, and Detroit, before their final return to Minnesota. They traveled the world with Don's job and for the pleasure of it. In retirement they enjoyed weekends at the family cabin on Clear Lake, their eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Marie Knowlan; brother, Edward Knowlan; husband, Donald Kampa; son, Paul Kampa; son-in-law, Scott Lis. She is survived by her children, Karen Lis of Lexington, Michigan, Glen Kampa (Diane) of Lino Lakes and Kent Kampa (Carol) of Saint Paul; grandchildren, Rebecca Meyers (Gordon), Corinne Berthiaume (Kent), Natalie Lis (Eric), Christine Lis (Alex), Nick Kampa, and Bill Kampa. Memorial Service at 11 AM on Friday, July 10 at ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior. Private interment Roselawn Cemetery.
